MailChats App – Privacy Details

This document supplements the CrevoLabs Privacy Policy and describes the data practices specific to the MailChats mobile application.

1. What MailChats Does

MailChats is a mobile application that lets you connect your email account (Google or Microsoft) to view selected conversations in a chat-like format. The app processes emails locally on your device and never stores your messages on CrevoLabs servers.

2. Data Access and Processing

• Email Access: With your consent, MailChats securely connects to your email account using OAuth (Google or Microsoft). We only scan emails where selected contacts appear in the To, From, CC, or BCC fields.
• Message Content: Messages are parsed locally to extract replies, remove signatures, and format content for readability. Full message content is not uploaded or shared.
• Attachments: Attachments are downloaded only on demand and stored locally on your device. We do not back them up or transmit them to any server.

3. What MailChats Stores

• Locally on Your Device: Parsed message content, sync metadata, and downloaded attachments
• Never Stored: Raw email content, OAuth tokens, or attachments on CrevoLabs servers

4. Third-Party Services

MailChats uses the following external services:

• Google OAuth & Microsoft Identity – for account access
• Firebase Cloud Messaging – to notify users of new messages (optional)
• A CrevoLabs-operated microservice – to extract replies and remove signatures from emails. This service is stateless, operates under GDPR-compliant infrastructure, and does not store or retain any email content

5. Your Control and Consent

• You can revoke access to your email account at any time via Google/Microsoft security settings
• You can delete all local data by uninstalling the app
• No email content or attachments are retained by CrevoLabs

6. Security

All communication with email providers and optional microservices is encrypted using industry-standard protocols. Your messages and attachments remain on your device unless explicitly shared by you.
