Izbu App Terms of Service

These Terms of Service govern your use of the Izbu mobile application, operated by CrevoLabs OÜ, Sepapaja 6, Tallinn 15551, Estonia. By using Izbu, you agree to these terms. Please read them carefully.

1. Acceptance of Terms

By downloading, installing, or using the Izbu application, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agree to be bound by these Terms of Service, as well as the Izbu Privacy Details and the CrevoLabs Privacy Policy.

2. What Izbu Is

Izbu is a historical events and facts application. It provides calendar-based content packs covering topics such as sports, science, and world history, allowing users to explore notable events tied to any given date.

Izbu is an informational application. It does not provide professional, academic, journalistic, or research-grade historical analysis. Content is intended for general interest and entertainment.

3. App Access

Izbu does not require account registration. Access is granted on a per-device basis using a cryptographic device identity generated on first launch. You are responsible for the use of Izbu on your device.

You must not attempt to impersonate another device or bypass the device authentication mechanism.
You must not use automated tools or scripts to make requests to the Izbu backend at rates exceeding normal human use.

4. In-App Purchases

Some content packs in Izbu require a one-time in-app purchase. All purchases are processed exclusively through Apple App Store (iOS) or Google Play (Android). CrevoLabs does not directly handle, store, or process payment information.

Refunds — All refund requests are handled by Apple or Google under their respective policies. CrevoLabs does not issue refunds directly. To request a refund, contact Apple Support or Google Play Support.
Restore purchases — If you reinstall the app or change devices, you may restore your previously purchased packs using the in-app restore function, subject to verification against the original platform receipt.
License scope — A purchased content pack grants you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to access that content within the Izbu app on your device. You may not share, redistribute, or resell purchased content.
Content availability — CrevoLabs reserves the right to update, modify, or retire content within a purchased pack. We will endeavour to maintain the core value of any purchased pack, but do not guarantee the permanent availability of any specific piece of content.

5. Content License

Historical facts are part of the public record and are not owned by anyone. However, the specific selection, writing, curation, and arrangement of content in Izbu — including event descriptions and categorisations — constitute original editorial work and are protected by copyright owned by CrevoLabs OÜ.

You are granted a limited, personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable license to view content within the Izbu app for your own personal, non-commercial use. You may not copy, reproduce, distribute, publish, display, or create derivative works from any Izbu content without the prior written consent of CrevoLabs.

6. Content Accuracy & Visuals

Historical content in Izbu is provided for general informational and entertainment purposes. While we take care to ensure accuracy, CrevoLabs does not warrant that any content is complete, current, or free of error. Do not rely on Izbu content for academic, professional, or research purposes.

Visuals are supplementary only. Images displayed alongside historical events are illustrative and may not depict the actual event, person, or location described. They are not intended as historically accurate representations and should not be interpreted as such. CrevoLabs makes no claim that any visual accurately portrays the associated historical event.

If you believe any content in Izbu contains a factual error, you are welcome to report it to hello@crevolabs.com.

7. Prohibited Use

You agree not to use Izbu in any of the following ways:

Content scraping — Using automated tools to extract, copy, or redistribute app content in bulk.
Reverse engineering — Attempting to decompile, disassemble, or extract source code from the app or its backend.
Purchase circumvention — Attempting to access paid content packs without a valid purchase or through fraudulent means.
Automated abuse — Using bots or scripts to interact with the platform in ways not intended by normal use, including circumventing rate limits.
Illegal purposes — Using Izbu in any manner that violates applicable local, national, or international laws or regulations.

8. Availability & Changes

CrevoLabs will endeavour to keep Izbu available and operational, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access. We may perform scheduled or emergency maintenance, update the platform, or modify features at any time.

We may add, modify, or remove features at any time with or without notice.
We are not liable for any loss resulting from planned or unplanned downtime.
We reserve the right to discontinue Izbu, with reasonable notice where practicable.

9. Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, CrevoLabs shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of Izbu, including any reliance on content provided by the app.

CrevoLabs’ total liability to you for any claim arising out of these Terms or your use of Izbu shall not exceed the amount you have paid to CrevoLabs in the twelve months preceding the claim, or €100, whichever is greater.

10. Termination

You may stop using Izbu at any time by uninstalling the app. You may also request deletion of your server-side device records by contacting us at hello@crevolabs.com.

CrevoLabs reserves the right to suspend or revoke device access at any time if we determine that your use violates these Terms or poses a risk to the platform or other users.

11. Governing Law

The governing law applicable to these Terms depends on your location:

Nothing in these Terms limits your rights under any mandatory consumer protection laws that apply in your jurisdiction.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms of Service from time to time. When we do, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we will notify you via the app or by push notification where possible.

Your continued use of Izbu after changes are published constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using Izbu and uninstall the app.
